In the 2024 edition, five talented artists have been selected to perform at a special concert night at Control Club in Bucharest. These shows are free to attend, so join us and show your support for Ukrainian music!
Andrii Barmalii x Oleksandr Yavdyk
Andrii Barmalii is a cross-disciplinary artist whose music blends jungle, jazz, drum ‘n’ bass, and hip-hop, creating expressive electronic soundscapes that merge technology and human emotion. Oleksandr Yavdyk, a drummer with intense emotional depth and technical skill, moves fluidly across genres. Together, their saxophone and drum duo engages in a raw, direct musical conversation.
Farba Kingdom
Odessa-based duo Farba Kingdom (Daniil and Liza Farba) channel the city's multicultural essence into dark, post-punk-inspired electronic music. Their debut album Німб evokes industrial gloom and hypnotic synths, reflecting the city's neo-Gothic and Soviet architectural contrasts, with themes of nostalgia and transformation.
NFNR
NFNR (Olesia Onykiienko) is a Kyiv-based electronic musician known for her dreamy, emotive soundscapes. Balancing fragility and strength, her music explores deep emotional territory. With live performances at ESNS, SHARPE, and more, her recent EP Fragility delves into the delicate balance of human existence.
Postman
Postman (Kostiantyn Pochtar) began in Kyiv crafting raw, acoustic ‘city folk’ songs, with his hit Kyivski Vulytsi becoming an unofficial anthem. After expanding his sound with a full band on Still Life, he blends acoustic guitars with electronic elements, drawing on influences like early Bowie to capture life's fleeting beauty.
TANKATAKA
TANKATAKA, the stage name of Ukrainian singer-songwriter Tetiana Kozhukharenko, creates reflective indie pop that resonates with feelings of loneliness and longing. Her powerful, emotive vocals transcend language, touching listeners worldwide, and making her a rising indie pop talent.
About Ukrainian MusicLab
In association with the French Institute of Bucharest, in partnership with Control Club and Music Export Ukraine, Europavox is launching this training program for Ukrainian artists based in Ukraine or in another European country. In the face of challenges imposed by the war, many Ukrainian artists have had to suspend their artistic projects or relocate abroad. This program will offer them a new opportunity to grow and gain recognition in Europe.
