Rana is a melancholic alternative rock band formed in Pitești in the fall of 2016. Their sound moves between alternative rock and indie-emo, while the lyrics revolve mainly around love, occasionally touching on social themes.
The band released singles such as “Cer chinezesc” and “Departe”, followed by their debut EP Verde electric in 2022. In 2023 came Codependent, a six-track story told in acts, exploring the dynamics of a relationship. Their third EP, “Noi doi “(versus restul lumii), continues this direction, five songs built around a love that isolates itself from the rest of the world.
With over 100 concerts in both acoustic and electric formats, Rana move between intimate, direct performances and electric sets shaped by melancholic guitars, driving bass lines, and confessional vocals. Their music captures the beauty and the risks that come with love whether toxic, anxious, fleeting, or lasting.
